Very very sorry for not being able to update you with any news lately..
Not that there's no news at all..hehe...but I'd rather wait for the right time to update you..
So, now..eventhough maybe it's not the time yet, but I just want to share just a bit of it with all of you..specially to all my friends, my supporters and my beloved fans (you are the reasons I'm here in this industry) ...

.......................I still can't believe he's gone....every time I watch or heard or read about him..makes me miss him even more..and I thought I can get over it..gosh!!! I can't believe this news really affected me soooo much!!

I think by now everybody has already heard about Michael Jackson's shocking death..and I know some friends who still mourning..don't ask us why......for those whose life affected by this tragic news..let us pray...may God bless his soul..and may he rest in peace..WE LOVE YOU MICHAEL..!!

I know all of us still sad, but we are still lucky for being able to watch, listen and experience his music when he was still alive..and even though now that he's gone..his music will live on FOREVER!!!

V Con Concert..

Haiya..stomachache again!!! The last time I felt almost the same pain was the day before I come back to KL after my sister's engagement ceremony. Urrgghhhh!!!!

So to 'kill' the pain, I better do something that will make me forget about the pain..and that's why I decided to update my blog..(hehehe)

Last Monday, I went for V Con annual anniversary concert. Aylwin and his band were playing, and the artistes were Ning Baizura, Dayang Nurfaizah and Reshmonu. There were almost 6 thousand people (all V Con staff) from around the world gathered for the concert..and you can imagine how the crowd were right?

The concert was held in Stadium Melawati, Shah Alam. It started around 9.45pm, right after the speech from V Con's founder, Dato' Vijay. Dayang started the show with the song "Single Ladies" and after that Ning went on stage, followed by Reshmonu. Then it was Dayang's turn again, then Ning, then Reshmonu..and it goes on like that till the last medley all of them sang "Heal The World/I'll Be There/We Are The World" together with one of the V Con staff from Philipines (if I'm not mistaken).

I've really enjoyed my day off that night..hehe..

Yup!! It's Mother's Day once again. And like everybody else, I too would like to wish all mothers a very Happy Mother's Day!!!!

To my Mom, hope Mummy have the very best Mother's Day this year, becoz I love you sooooo much and my love for you won't ever fade even a bit!!! Thank You for all your sacrifices and happiness that you have given us (your children)..and I want Mummy to know that we will never forget everything you've done for us..

Ola..

Last week Aylwin brought back a few CDs from Universal Music..there were 4 actually. And I only know 2 of it..Lady Gaga and Diana Krall..the other 2 I have no idea at all who they were. Madeleine Peyroux and Melody Gardot. Have you ever heard of them before??

Well, I didn't open it just until 2 days ago. And of course I love Lady Gaga!!! And if you watch her performances, she was singing live..!!! That add up to me loving her!! Her song was so energetic, plus her show was superb!!

So, when I played the other 2 songs (Madeleine and Melody), hmm..I thought..this is not bad at all. Their songs more to jazz, light and easy kind of song. Madeleine got that Ella Fitzgerald tone..and Melody got the Norah Jones tone..but I can tell that both of them have their own styles and skills. I will play their songs whenever I'm driving..and at this moment I'm stuck with "If The Stars Were Mine" by Melody Gardot!!! I can imagine a place where there's a rainbow, birds flying freely, fields of beautiful flowers..wow!!! Sooooo...aargghh..can't explain it..!! Maybe I exaggerating (is that the right spelling?) too much..hehehe. Maybe some of you won't like it the way I love it..but yeah..who cares..hahah!!

Sorry for being a bit 'quiet' for some time guys..heheh..my internet broadband gave me a hard times lately..fuh!!!

Nothing much happened since my last post..the only thing that still remains is the whether..my God..it is still hot!!!

Today was the recording session for a couple of songs written by Aylwin. I recorded the demo for both songs. One song is for one of the top local male singer, and the other one to be send to one of the top international record label. Hopefully they'll like the demo..hehehe!!

Overall, I think I can do better..(huh!!)..but still I'm quite satisfied with the outcome..hmm..not my best though..aarrghhh..don't think too much..at least better than my last recording of the same song..yaikss!!!

My throat itchy, my nose blocked, and I haven't got enough rest..but yes I know..these things were not to be blame for the quality of my recording today..(stop thinking about it Shanel..!!)

No singing tonight..

Ola..

What a HOT day!!!
Hmm..tonite I'm not gonna be singin' since there's a private function going on in Shook. All I know is the function got something to do with F1. I think there's a party goin' on...yeahh!!! One of Shook's manager told me that he will only start work at 8pm. But they will finish only at 2.30am!! So, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a parrteeeyyyy...!!! Well, at least I got a day off today. But nothing much to do. Just relaxing at home..surfing the net..huuuaaahhhh (yawning..)

Aylwin got meeting (as usuall). His father (now I called him Papa..heee) went out for a swim at the pool downstairs, leaving me alone at home (which is not so unordinary..yaiks!!). The plan was, me and Aylwin will go catch a movie tonite..but since Papa will only go back to Taiping tomorrow morning, I guess the plan is gonna be cancelled. Aww..never mind..we can always catch a movie in another day..

How's everybody? Hope all off you are in a good shape.

Well, talking about good shape..hmm..I think I've put on a lil' weight..if not too much..hahahha!!

But not becoz I'm pregnant ok..hehe..I know some of you keep asking me "aiya..when lah you going to be pregnant?"..Be patient everybody..the time will come..don't worry..I also want to be 'Hot Mama'...wah!!

Before I used to dance to shed out the extra fat..but now I seldom dance already..lazy? Hmm..I'm not lazy to dance..but maybe becoz I have other things to do..like blogging?...hahaha..Well, when I'm singing on stage, I'll dance..but not that kind of dance that I love. I'm singing jazz everybody..so how do you expect me to dance like Michael Jackson?..Hahaha!! So I just move my body a lil bit..blend with the groove. Not all the songs I sing are slow and jazzy. We do some funk, retro song too..but can't move too much becoz of the dress I'm wearing. Not suitable 'lah'.

Yesterday, Putet @ Stacy (AF6) invited me to watch them practise for the coming Anugerah Juara Lagu show. They practised at Adam's (AF2) studio in Sunway Mentari. Suddenly, I miss my dance practise when I was still in AUDITION!!! Aaarrggghhhh...!!

I better start my dance class again. It's a very good exercise too. Hmm..where shall I go for dance class? Well, I'll think of it later.

After the practise, I supposed to follow them for dinner at Taman Desa. Putet wanted to eat tom yam. But I couldn't make it. Becoz Aylwin's father already arrived from Taiping, so I have to go back lor..

Lights Out!!

Ola..

As I've mentioned on my previous post, last night was the Earth Hour 2009. And Starhill Galery was one of the many who participated in this campaign. Well from the title itself, we know that it's all about protecting our earth from all those pollutions. So, one of the thing that we can do is by saving the energy around us, and we can do that by switching off the lights when we're not using it.
I know some of us like to leave the lights on in our room, in our bathroom..eventhough we're not inside the room..well from now on, please guys..switch them off!!

And as you all know, last night..Starhill Galery switches off the lights for one hour. But some of the lights they let it on becoz of security reasons I think. I reached Shook around 7pm. Lucky the traffic wasn't that bad. We're supposed to get ready in Shook at 6.30pm..but as usuall, the timing changed. When I got there, there was some soundcheck going on. My musicians were already there. What to do, they had to wait till 7.30pm to finally get on stage and perform. But still there was some problems with the keyboard pedal..huh!! I didn't sing, becoz the organizer wanted only instrumental music.

So, around 8.15pm, they had a break and we had our dinner at Enak Restaurant. We tried our best to finish our dinner before the lights off, hehehe..don't want to eat in the dark lah..but the place wasn't that dark when 8.30pm finally came. Becoz there was candles, and also they didn't switch off the kitchen lights..how to cook right?

Well, that was Enak restaurant. In Shook, of course it was dark, but with the torch lights and candles, and lights from the TV Screen where they showed the performances by our local artistes, the place wasn't that dark as we imagined it would be. But still, on the way to the ladies room, it was a bit dark and I had to touch the wall so that I won't bang into it..hahah!!! In the ladies room of course the lights were still on. Crazy ah want to off the lights there? Hehehe..

Deborah Henry and Stephanie Chai were the two lovely MCs for that night. Sean Ghazi performed "What A Wonderful World" and had a duet with Deanna Yusoff with a song called "Quando, Quando, Quando"..then Deanna sang "Dream A Little Dream Of Me"..followed by Sean Ghazi again for his final song.."Bila Bulan Mengambang"..(err..I think that was the title of his song..hihi)

After that, they showed a short clip of Dato' Dr Sheikh Muzaffar..how he began his journey to become the first Malaysian to go to space. He gave a short but brief story of how he make his dreams impossible and how it changed his life and how he sees the world now..and of course he gave a very meaningful speech about how we should stop the sufferings in this world due to many kinds of explotation.

I took some photos of last night, and I'm sorry for the poor quality ( took it with my camera phone). Managed to take a photo with Dato Dr Sheikh Muzaffar twice actually..since the first one my friend didn't press the right button. Lucky I got the chance to take a photo with him again after that. Pity him, I'm sure he was tired, but still he spent his time signing autographs, taking photos and been interviewed by the press..wow!!

I'm sure by now everybody would've known about Earth Hour already, right? Well, tonight Starhill Galery will switch off the lights exactly at 8.30pm..and there're gonna be a performances by Sean Ghazy and Deanna Yusoff, and also a storytelling by our very own 'angkasawan'..Dato' Syed Muzaffar..(Hmm..Syed or Sheikh? Opss..!)

Not sure how they're going to perform, but I think there's going to be a 'big' candle on stage..don't know yet..

I will try to take a photo..but not sure whether the photo will come out ok or blur..since no lights what..hehe..I think we're just have to wait for tonight..

Ola..

How's everybody? As for me, I'm still recovering from flu..had a bad sore throat..yeah..just imagine me singing with a sore throat..aarrrgghhhh!!!!

MC?? Hmm..I thought of it..but you see, last Tuesday and Wednesday I followed hubby to Taiping..got some things to settle there, so I'd already got 2 days leave, and decided to just go to work on Thursday despite my sore throat. But that time it wasn't that bad, so I thought don't be lazy 'lah'..just go out and sing a few songs then go back. Huh..now I 'kena' lah. How in the world I want to get better if I'm using my voice everynight..supposed to relax wha,t right? But that's my job, so like it or not, I have to accept it.

So for the last 4 days, I've been singing like a rock star...hahahahha!!!!

Lucky today is my day off..so I have at least one day to rest my voice!!

Tonight, Aylwin will be having a show..a piano show to be exact..with one of the most idolized male singer in Malaysia..hmm..guess who?? If you're guessing Anuar Zain..YES!! You are correct!! Heheh.. (no prize for you though..ahaks!)

The show will be in Concorde Hotel,Bukit Bintang. Not too far from Starhill Galery. I told Aylwin to stop by when the show finish, but he said if he's not too tired, he'll try and come. Pity him..he's been practising since the last 2 days, and got a very bad backache..

and I know he can't wait for tonight show to be finish..;P

The Stage..

Ola..

I guess everybody back to 'busy day' again right? As for me, I didn't get any breaks for CNY, except for the 26th, becoz it was my day off..and it didn't really feels like a holiday..so jeles for those who got as long as one week off!!

But it's ok..I'm used to it..(haha..actually still sooo jeles lah)

The second day of CNY I was already singing my heart out in Shook..hehe..although the place was almost empty!! But I can say that this year's CNY wasn't like the last one. And this year also got no ang pau..I know..I know..I'm already married, no need to ask for ang pau..but..wait a minute..I did get a couple of ang pau from our guest. He came to Shook with her daughter and 2 Korean friends..and he gave me and my musicians each a couple packet of ang pau!! Yeah!! And that was my first and last ang pau..hmm..I wonder what happen to the Korean Restaurant's boss..usually on CNY, she will give us each an ang pau..but this year none..hehe..(still hoping though..haha..no 'lah'..just kiddin') Maybe due to the not-so-good economy?

Oklah..enuff said about the ang pau. What I'm going to tell you here is actually about this big red stage in Shook which has been there since last December!! Remember my post about "Journey Thru Time"? Yup!! Since then they haven't touch the stage at all!! Only the side stage where we (me and my band) performed during the event.

Of course the stage looks nice..looks very 'extravagant'..but it's been bothering us a lot lately!! You see..after the "Journey Thru Time" ended, there was this caroling group performed on stage every night till Christmas day. So me and the band had to perform downstage. (Hmm..I can't remember whether I've already blog about this before?)

And I thought we can move to the stage..I mean on stage..after Christmas..but still we have to perform downstage..and till to this very moment..we still performing not on the stage but on the floor..(downstage lah..bawah pentas..heheh). As you can see from the photo abpve..this is how the stage look like, except the band is not on stage as seen from this photo. We are performing in the middle, off stage. Guest from the bar couldn't see us at all..except if they sit at the side of the bar..and if they sit at the front. Some guest from the restaurant might be able to see us, but not as clear as if we're on stage. So, we are like..ok..never mind..just do our job..no complaining..but I pity our regular guests who come just to watch the band..coz they don't have place to sit and watch properly! The sofas that used to be in front of the stage now moved to the back..where they can't see us at all!!! Maybe that's why we didn't get to see them in Shook either. If I'm not mistaken, the management will only clear the stage after Chap Goh Meh. Not that there's a big celebration coming up..not that I know..so why have to wait till Chap Goh Meh to clear the stage?

Oklah..stop complaining..stop grumbling...heheh..just wait lah..after that..hah..everybody can see us..and we can see everybody!!

My Story So Far..

Sorry guys for not being able to update my blog lately..
A bit busy + lazy..hehehe..

Anyway, Chinese New Year is just around the corner..so for those who celebrate CNY, I'm sure some of you are already in the 'holiday' mood ya...waah..but remember..DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE.. ;p

I'm not sure whether I'll be off on CNY or not..becoz CNY is on the 26th Jan, which is Monday, and Monday is our day off, but I doubt we're going to have the day off on that day. Hmm..so far no memo from our agent yet..probably they will ask us to take the day off on Sunday (CNY Eve) or maybe on Tuesday..but see how 'lah'..any days will do..just go up and sing only what..heheh..

Oh..our friend, Leslie, just got back from US last Saturday. He was there almost a month. And when he came back to Malaysia, he got me a present..yeah!! Thanks Les..!! He was actually Aylwin's long time friend,and if you guys still remember, he was one of the vocal teacher in AUDITION Season 1. And that was how I know him..he taught us (little rascals..hehe) a lot!!!

Wonder what he got for me?....

I really really appreciated it since I'm a big fan of Marilyn Monroe!!! I remember I used to cut my mom's magazines just to collect Marilyn's photos..hahah!! But that time the internet for me was still not in the picture, so my collections of her photos (from the magazines) was not that much. Now, I can find anything from calendar, mug, astray, bags, t-shirt etc...fuh!!! I like and love everything about Marilyn. She's beautiful, she's sexy, she's mysterious..and she's a legend!! Well, I don't need to tell you about her, becoz I'm sure most of you already know if not all at least a bit about her..right?

Last Tuesday, was Barack Obama Inauguration Ceremony. Finally..a night of history..America's first black President! I came home around 1.45am. And the "We Are One" concert was going on in HBO. I only managed to watch Garth Brook, Usher, Shakira, Stevie Wonder and Beyonce's performance. They were amazing!! And then Obama gave his speech. From what I saw on TV, they all love Obama. They were shouting his name, and of course supports him..if not he wouldn't be what he is today right? Hopefully Obama can make a change..BIG changes not only for America but for the whole world..

New Year..New Chapter..

Happy New Year 2009!!!

Been quite busy lately. Went back to Ranau, Sabah on the 27th Dec '08. Took the early morning flight at 6.20am. Aylwin sent me to the LCCT together with Telly (Aylwin's elder brother) and Aylwin's mom. Reached KK around 9.30am..and Bob already waiting for me at the airport. So we went off straight to Ranau. Hmm..KK changed a lot!! But I'm not really familiar with KK, so I wouldn't know if the changes I saw was a recent change or vice versa..haha!!

It was sooo nice to finally came home to my hometown!!! I can't even remember when was the last time I came home!! Gosh!! I think it was in 2007..hmm..have to check back all the photos we took..(just to check out the dates..hehe) But unfortunately, I was too busy with work and didn't have time to call my friends in Sabah that I'll be coming home...aarrgghh!! Sorry guys.. :(

Actually, I wanted to come home for Christmas, and wanted to bring Aylwin along. But sadly I had to work on Christmas day (it's in my contract..), so my agent only managed to give me the holiday starting from 27th till 28th Dec..but since 29th was my day off (Monday is our day off), so I decided to book a flight back to KL on 30th morning. At least I got to spend some times with my parents, uncles, aunties.

And on that 27th, was actually a special day for my sister, Imie@Memel. It was her Engagement Day!!! Congrats again my sis..hehe!! I can see that she's really happy and we are all happy for her. My parents are happy and that's the most important thing. We must have the blessings from our parents first, then we can be happy. I pray that my sister and her fiance will have the strength to face whatever challenges that will come upon them through the whole engagement period..so that they can "see" and learn more about each other's positive and also the negative side to prepare them for the next big thing..which is the holy matrimony..marriage.

The next day (28th Dec) I had to perform for Christmas Open House at Ranau Town Hall. Datuk Ewon was one of the VIPs and Datuk Masidi was the Guest-Of-Honor. I sang 3 songs, and Ranau people was very sporting I tell you..hehe. It was also a chance for me to meet some of our long-time-no-see relatives and family friends.

I wish I can spend a little more time with my family, but unfortunately I had to go back to KL and WORK!! Here's a photo of Bob (brother) with "ikan karuk" that Mom managed to catch. Haha..I know..I know..it's just a small fish. My sister managed to catch one also..and my aunty got no luck. Maybe next time aunty. Hehe...

Well, it's already 2009, so I won't complaint. In fact, I felt blessed that I still can do what I love to do..which is singing.

Journey Thru Time Part II

Ola..

Fuh!! Finally..it's over. Not that I'm complaining..hehe..it's been quite a show actually..and thru the whole week I've been doing 2 jobs..singing and photographing...hahahah!!!

One of the camera lady even came up to me and said.."haiya..everyday also you take camera ah..better don't sing lah you..just become a photographer lah.."

Now you all know my other passion..PHOTOGRAPHING!! But singing and dancing are still my favourite!!

I borrowed my sister's Sony DSLR camera..that's why most of the guests thought I was one of the photographer..haha..when they saw me singing..I can see that their faces full of confusions (this girl ah..photographer also can sing meh?..)

This "Journey Through Time II" thingy ended with a big 'explosion' on the 14th of Dec '08. Me and my musicians thought we're only going to perform till 8.30pm at least..becoz there are supposed to be a DJ every night after the showtime finish, but Tan Sri Francis cancelled it and we heard that the DJ will only be playing on the finale. So that's why we thought we'll finish early, but at the end of the day, we still have to perform till 1am coz the DJ was not playing. We were all tired since we've been there from 6.30pm..

Russell Watson's 4 nights performances were superb. He is a very powerful tenor! And on his final night, Sting made a suprise appearance in Shook!! But almost everybody couldn't recognize Sting becoz of his beard.

Ning Baizura performed for 2 nights..together with Aylwin(Keyboard) and Muhriz(Saxophone). She started with medley from James Bond movie..and then continued with beautiful classic songs..very jazzy. I like her outfit..suits her very well.

Siti Nurhaliza performed for one night only..and the place was crowded!! She is still the no.1 singer in Malaysia! And she lost weight too. Good for her. But I think the scarf doesn't really suits her..I don't know. Managed to have a chat and take some photos with her..and Datuk K..hehehe..they were really nice to me..I felt sooo honoured!!

From 11th - 14th Dec '08, Andrea Griminelli (Flutist) performed together with soprano Cynthia Lawrence and tenor Saimir Pirgu. Saimir is only 27 years old..but he is already making a big name in the opera music industry.

Overall, it's been quite a 'journey'. From Tan Sri Francis's speech, he said that this year the sale is double from last year..and the number of people who came to see the watches and jewellery were also higher than last year's number. Hmm...I think with all the depressions and 'not-so-very-good' economy in today's world, people still attracted to come to Starhill becoz most of the watches been shown here were only shown here in Starhill and no other places in the world!! That's why there were 6 private jets flown down to KL just to come to Starhill Galery to see and buy watches!! Wow!!

STARHILL GALERY PRESENTS: A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME II

Very very busy this week..a lot of things to share..but very limited time..

So, at the moment..I'm just going to brief all of you about this thing called "A Journey Through Time II". Notice the 'II' there? It's becoz this is the second time such event been held here in Starhill. Wonder what is it all about? Well, what else..it's all about WATCHES and JEWELERY!!

For those of you who fancy watch and jewelery so much, this is your opportunity to come and experience the showcase. It started last Thursday (4th Dec) and the finale will be on this 14th Dec 2008. Of course, the watches and jewelery are not cheap..hehe! Why? Becoz these are all branded and very rare, unique collections plus they are very limited!! Last year, I remember there was this watch designed with the genuine pieces from the ever popular Titanic!! Wow!! I can't remember the price, but I'm very sure it is very very expensive!!!

For those of you who just wanted to enjoy the night performance, well you can come and watch various local and international artiste's performance. Classical singer, Russell Watson, had been performing in Shook since 4th Dec, and tomorrow..ops! I mean later tonight (7th Dec) will be his last performance. So, if you are a fan, or just wondering how he sounds ( and look like..hehe..)..come and enjoy his show here in Shook, starting 10pm!!

I've heard his CD's before, the "That's Life" album, and I fell in love with his voice!! And I was very excited when I knew he's coming to do a show here in Shook!! I didn't want to waste the opportunity, so I borrowed my sister's DSLR Camera..hehe..so I can take better photos 'maa'. Later I will post the photos of Russell..now no time yet..some more the internet a bit slow 'lah'..

For your information, Russell is such a 'darling'..hehe..he's very friendly, and didn't show any 'diva' attitude. And he's good looking too..ops!! Even his assistant is so kind to me..thanks Steve!!

Ning Baizura will perform on the 8th and 9th Dec.

Datuk Siti Nurhaliza's turn will be on the 10th.

And from 11th to 14th Dec, will be a performances by flutist Andrea Griminelli featuring several artistes. (If I'm not mistaken..all the artistes featured are all international artistes)

The "RM Wedding" & "IKEA Reunion"

Last Sunday, there was a private wedding function in Shook..and it was the first wedding function in Shook ever!!

Shook looked soo different that night..with all the wedding decorations plus the Christmas decorations. Oh..and it was the wedding of Roshan and Mukesh..'RM'..wow!! RM means Ringgit Malaysia right? Hehe...and I heard the family of the couple also very rich!! Before Shook, they did the wedding receptions in Ritz Carlton(Friday) and J.W Marriott ballroom(Saturday)..and the reception in both places ended almost at 7am!!!

I don't know what time it ended in Shook, but I doubt they will finish late..becoz the lights and the aircond will automatically go off around 12 something..so if they can 'tahan' without the aircond, I salute them lah!! Heheh!! Correct me if I'm wrong, Benggali custom is like that..they will have a celebrations for 3 days 3 nights non stop! So maybe that's why they did the receptions in 3 places..and I heard they turned half of the Marriott ballroom into a HUGE bar!! Wow!! So many alcohol lah!! Hehe..!! In Shook also they brought their own bartender, so Shook's bartender became their assistants..and the amount of alcohol they brought was half of container!! Not the small container ok..I mean the BIG container lah..(the container here means the one looks like lorry one..haha..I don't know how to explain lah..)

We knew about the function the night before..so we thought we are not going to perform on that night. But the next day (Sunday) we waited for Chong(Agent's assistant) to call us, but he never call..that means we still have to perform. I did perform for the 1st set, but after that the organizer didn't want me to sing..they just want the band to play instrumental songs only. So I relax lah..apalagi..hehe..took some photos..too bad no one can take photo of me with the band on stage..off stage pun off stage lah...

The time was already 10.15pm, and they(my band) were supposed to start the 3rd set 15mins ago..but see..whenever there's a function in Shook, my musicians (and me..hehe) kinda feel a bit 'lazy' to go on stage..since the organizer usually have their own 'agenda'..and sometimes we kinda feel a bit 'left-out' just like what happened on Sunday! One minute they told us to perform as usual, and the next minute they told us to stop..and after that somebody just told us to wait..what is this? If you want us to perform, just tell lah..then we can perform..if don't want, we can go back..that was what happened..my musicians wanted to go back, but everyone was still hesitated..until I went and saw the 'lady organizer' myself. Oh..before I forgot, before that they said we can go back when their 'Shanghai Singer' start her performance.

She(Shanghai Singer) supposed to start at 10pm..that's why we were confused whether we can go back already or still have to perform and wait for the Shanghai singer or what? That's when I went to talk to the organizer lah. The supposed-to-be Shanghai Singer was sitting there together with the organizer and a few friends. And she's not actually a singer from Shanghai..but she can sing all the classic Chinese songs..that's why they just called her the 'Shanghai Singer'..hahah!!

Organizer told us that we can go back..yahoo!! The boys (musicians) were all happy lah..all 'malas'..hahaha!! By the time we go back, the bride and groom haven't arrived yet..and when I went and met the 'Shanghai Singer'..she told me that she was supposed to start at 10pm, but they told her to wait till the wedding couple arrive..hmm..she looked bored..pity her..but anyway she was nice to me. Her name is Janet Lee. And apparently, she's been singing all over the place..I mean KL..hehe..good for her..I think after I finish my contract in Shook, I'm going to start performing for a function only..and not in a contract..but we'll see..maybe I'll change my mind..who knows! But for those of you out there who needs a singer or a full band to perform on any functions, please do let me know..and we can have a talk, and see if we can work together..ok?

Yesterday, was my day off. Yeah..we are off every Monday. Aylwin's mother came from Taiping and staying with us till Wednesday. We went to IKEA (MIL's fav place..) Aylwin's phone never stop ringing..very busy man 'lah'..but busy means good right? More business 'maa'..hehe. After almost..hmm..I think almost 3 hours in IKEA, we decided to go back. Actually we left becoz it was already 9.45pm. IKEA will be close in 15mins time..hahah..and guess who we bumped into on the way out? Ravi and his wife, Cecilia were at the counter when we saw them. Actually Aylwin saw them first..the last time we saw each other was on our wedding dinner in KL.

Everyone says that Ravi looks like Aylwin..but seriously, at first I thought Ravi was Aylwin's cousin..but nope..they're not related at all. Even Ravi's son looks the same as Aylwin. Of course the son will look like the father, that's why 3 of them looks really really 'related'..ahaks!! And after that, once again Aylwin was the first one to saw May and Hanim!!! Waahh!!! So happy to see them..like reunion 'lah'. First it was Ravi and his wife, now May and Hanim!! All came to our wedding that day..(Ravi, wifey and son performed on our Taiping wedding ; May and Hanim dance all nite long on that night too..hahaha..) and it really feels like REUNION..and it wasn't our wedding anniversary yet..!!

I'm sooooo happy and really really blessed for this year's birthday!! I am now 30!! Huk..huk..!! But still look young..cewah!!! (Perasan ke? Lantaklah kan..wah!!)

This is my first birthday as a wife..and once again how happy and blessed I am to have my loving friends and especially my loving husband to be with me on this special day!!

For all of you who sent me all the great wishes..THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! It really means a lot for me!! Thanks for all your prayers and may God bless all of you too!!

Last night, after finish work, I came home and Aylwin suprised me with a birthday cake. It was just a small yet cute birthday cake..thank you Baby!!

And today, Aylwin had to go for a meeting at 10 in Plaza Damas. He asked me to follow him, then can go for lunch in Mid Valley. But I was too tired and still sleepy, so we decided to meet in Mid Valley instead.

After that we went to the Pets Wonderland. I just wanted to see the dogs only, especially the puppies. And when we came there, one of the staff was playing with 2 Golden Retriever puppies, and 4 Shi Zhu (if I'm not mistaken) puppies!! They were soo cute!!

Finally, Aylwin said "let's go makan lah". He took me to this Thai restaurant called Amarin..and that was when I felt something's not right already. And I was right!! Aylwin had a surprise for me. Leslie, Janis, Kat, Kevin(Aylwin's nephew) and Aylwin's father all there waiting for me. Haiya..!! So nice of them to come..

The food there was so tasty!! Even Leslie who normally won't go to a Thai restaurant said the food was very good!! While they were serving our dessert, suddenly the restaurant's staff came with a big birthday cake and sang birthday song for me. Waa...so touching..huk..huk!! We had a good time..I had a good time..and all thanks to Aylwin, my loving hubby..hehe!!!

If only my other close friends can come together..but it's ok..as long as they still remember my birthday ok lah..haha!! Thank you friends!!

The "Horror Tiger Attack!!"

Ola..

I'm sure all of you have already heard about the white tiger attack in Singapore Zoo right? Well, for those who haven't read the news yet, Mr Nordin Montong, 32, a cleaner, was mauled to death by 2 white tiger in Singapore Zoo. It was such a tragic news especially for the family member of Mr Nordin Montong.

Of course if we were in their shoes, we ourselves could not and don't want to believe the stories people been telling us without seeing it with our own eyes. That's what happened to the family member of Mr Nordin. They didn't want to believe what have been told to them about how Mr Nordin got killed. They thought maybe someone had push Mr Nordin, or maybe he was in a fight or something. (The news reported that Mr Nordin jump into the enclosure of the white tigers. )When one boy was actually managed to capture the whole attack in his digital camera, the family decided to watch it with their own eyes!!

I could not imagine that at all!! Watching the death of your loved one from a video!! It was so sad..and I felt sorry for the family and hope that they will remain strong and calm as they are now (after watching the video clip). Surely deep in their hearts they will still feel the pain, but at least now they are at peace since they've watched the video and now know the truth behind Mr Nordin death. So far, Mr Nordin's parents know nothing about the attack because Mr Nordin's sisters only told the parents that it was just an accident. They didn't want to add the grief since Mr Nordin was their favourite child. They only plan to tell their parents after 100 days of mourning.

The "Christmas Spirit"

Ola..

It's not Christmas yet, but already I can feel the spirit of it in Shook (where I perform). Tan Sri Francis Yeoh is a strong Christian, so every year he will make sure the place (whole Starhill Galery) will be decorated with lots of Christmas decorations!! And I'm pretty sure the 'snow' will fall again in Starhill!!

Not yet December, but already got Christmas tree 'lah'. Hehe! So excited! But this year they put real Christmas tree, unlike the last 2 years since I've been performing in Shook. Usually they put 'White Christmas tree'..but this year the trees are all green (real one what..hehe), with lights, ribbons and balls covered all around the trees. At first I thought it was just another 'fake' Christmas tree, but my musicians told me that it wasn't fake! So I went and checked it out myself, and surprisingly it is real Christmas tree!! But do Christmas tree got thorns?? Hmm..

So from now on, I have to sing at least one Christmas song every night. It's a bit early though don't you think? Heheh..but since the management already asked us to sing and play Christmas songs, I think we just have to follow the order..

The "Art Festival", "Friends" and "Bad Mouthing!!" (Photos Updated)

Sorry for the long delayed updates my friends. Been quite busy and lazy..hehe.

Oh..for those who celebrate Halloween, Happy Halloween..although it's not really a big thing here in Malaysia, but I admit it's a fun thing to see all those people especially kids wearing 'scary' costumes! Last night Casa Havana (it's a club/bar in Marriott) had 'scary' decorations all over the place. And the thing that really got our attentions was the 'hand' hanging at the entrance..my musicians called it 'cold blooded hand'..wooo..scarryyyy...

Last night was the end of the one month long Art Festival in Starhill Galery. Phew! Finally. Since the thing started, they had been flashing spot light to the stage from the upper floor, and you can imagine how HOT it was to stand there almost 5 hours right?

The spot light was so bright and sometimes when there's a crowd from upstairs clapping, when I look at them, I accidentally looked at the spotlight, and damn..I couldn't see a thing for a minute after that. You must be wandering why they put a spotlight there..not becoz of the band (unfortunately..hihi), but becoz of the stage background. They made it look like a big frame of all the paintings..beautiful paintings but some I might say very..hmm..how to say it..abstract? Those who don't know how to appreciate things like these might call it 'junk' since some of the painting just look like colors been splatted out (do they have 'splatted' word in dictionary?haha) Hope you know what I mean.

The grand finale was actually on 28th Oct '08, where they had the "Gala Dinner" in Shook. They had an award presentation and also a performance by Chinese Art Group, where they entertained the guests with classic Chinese Opera. I'm not really sure whether this group from Malaysia or China. Before they started, I took the chance to take photo with them. Costumes so beautiful 'lah'. But the make-up a bit 'scary'..ops!! Becoz of the Chinese Opera, me and my band had to perform downstairs..but it's ok..becoz we won't have to face the spotlight!

At the same time, my best friend from Kuching, Sarawak came to see me in Shook. Actually I knew about her coming to KL..and she supposed to come to Melaka first then come to KL on the 27th, but she surprised me when she came to Shook on 19th. Her company asked her to attend a course in KL for a week..so she came earlier 'lah'. So nice to see her here in KL. I've known her since UPM..almost 10 years already..and we shared a lot of good and bad times together. Hmm..I think if my best friends from Sabah are here, sure we will see each other almost everyday like we used to. But now there were all married. Mimi, Bannecy @ Bibi, Judith @ Udith..(hehe..padahal lebih kurang jak tu nama kan..)..I'm the last one who got married lah..so I still 'free' at the moment..hehe..meaning no kids yet..so still 'free' lah..once I have kids already, then I'll be like them..tangan nda pernah berenti kan?..wah..tangan nda pernah berenti? Dashat tu..perumpamaan lah bah kunun tu..hihi..I miss all of youuuuu..bulih kah kita jadi 'bujang' lagi at least for a day? Buat reunion lah kan? Haha..I know I just got married, and you guys had been married for years..got kids..and really really need the 'me' time..and Mimi, congratulations for your 'birthday present' ya..you deserve it.

Hmm..those were the days..the fun and also the not-so-fun memories. But even the not-so-fun memories do make us laugh sometimes ya? Haha..I remember when we used to 'gossipping' others behind their back..but that's just normal I think for school kids especially girls. When they hang around with their friends, it's just fun to make fun about others..but the one who got 'bad names' were the one to suffer. Actually, we just talk about others who are really done the bad thing in school..what for want to talk bad about people who done nothing wrong..correct or not? But sometimes maybe we thought they done something bad, so we talk bad lah..but who knows maybe they didn't do anything 'pun'..jahat oo kan? Should stop all these 'talking bad things behind people's back' habit lah..

Recently, close friend of mine (other close friend, not the Sarawakian girl ok?..hehe) had the same thing happened. Not my friend talking bad things, but people been talking bad or 'bad-mouthing' my friend!! My friend knows who they are..and my friend of course felt really sad becoz my friend thought after all these years, those people already knows and understand my friend. Sometimes my friend just joking, but those people suddenly went and told others about the joke and made it look like my friend really meant it..walhal it was only a JOKE!!!!! Come on lah..everybody sure make fun of others but sometimes it is just a joke..and we joke only becoz we thought we knew that everybody can take it as a joke..takdelah lebih2..haiya..!!

That's why my friend got fed up and now no more working with those people again. My friend won't lose anything, it was them who will feel the lost. Who asked them to 'pandai2'..they thought they can 'ampu' people by talking bad about my friend lah..too bad!! That thing happened a few months back..and this week my friend felt really sad again, becoz there's this guy who used to work with my friend sent my friend a very nasty sms. Just becoz a small misunderstanding, and without really knowing the truth, this guy sent an sms saying that he heard a lot of bad things about my friend and now he knows that it's true!! WHAT THE F*CK??!!! (Sorry for the swearing..angry 'lah')

This guy didn't even know what's happening, suddenly also 'pandai2' sent a stupid sms like that. No guts ah to call? Dasar ******!! Always like to 'baling batu sembunyi tangan'..wahh..!! Sure those people who talk bad were the one who spread the 'bad things' to everyone they can talk to lah!! Me and everybody keep telling my friend not to 'layan' stupid fool like that. They can talk as much as they want..what do they get? Nothing!! Stupid!! Not that they will get an award for that!! Lucky all the 'big' people in my friend's industry are on my friend's side. Don't know 'lah' if they are 'talam 2 muka'..got to be very careful. But so far, those people who talk bad about my friend were all those who work under my friend..so 'silap besar' lah. Thank God now my friend got jobs coming in, so too bad lah for those who talk bad about my friend..tataaa..tittii..tuutttuuu..no job for you..yeah you can find jobs anywhere..so go find for yourself lah..think you're so great right?

Hmm..everywhere in this world..sure got this 'fly' one..'bloody stupid fly'..so my advice..just ignore them ( I know sometimes it gets really really irritating not to ignore..), becoz the more you try to keep the fly away..you will get tired..but the fly just happily flying..like this quote I read in my friend's blog.."don't wrestle with a pig..both of you will get dirty..but the pig loves it.." Get what I mean?

The "Womanizer"

Yep!! I know what you're going to say..I'm Britney's fanatic!! Not ashame of it..

I love her since her first album. Well, actually my sister, Imie, was the one who first introduced me to Britney. Haha...I still remember how we used to sing and dance like Britney..but Britney is Britney..no one can take over her place!!

Britney is not really a good vocalist, but if you listen to her when she was still with MMC, her voice was sooo much better than now..don't know why..maybe becoz her recording company wanted her to sound like what she sounded today..but still no one can deny that she's a great dancer. Yah..yah..her performance in MTV Music Awards (where she sang "Gimme More") was a..err..disastrous. Never in my life could I ever imagine that Britney will perform that 'bad'. Pity her..

But I'm glad, after all her 'down' moment..now she's looking better and her new single "Womanizer" is on no.1 in US Billboard Chart!! The MTV is a bit 'sexy'..but finally she is starting to 'shine' again. Hopefully she will continue to shine as shiny as before..(wow..too much 'shine' thingy..hehe)

Of course, some of you out there won't have the same opinion as I am. But let just leave Britney alone ok? People made mistakes and we are absolutely have no rights to judge her. Just pray that Britney will keep on doing the right thing for herself, her career, her sons and her family..and of course for her loyal fans..(like me..hehe)

She may not have voice like Mariah or Whitney, but I still love listening to her music and watch her dance. By the way, I love all kinds of music. And one of them is dance/pop music like Britney's. The "Gangster Killed"

Last night Shook was a bit packed..weekend..sure 'lah'. And Ning was there too with hubby and Aunty Stella ( Ning's mom ). The musicians from Meredien also came, along with their singer, Joan. I thought Joan was Chinese or Philipino, but actually she is Sabahan..hehe..( 'ter'speaking KL plak sama dia sikijap..wah..)

We chatted..(berabis lah..jumpa 'geng' kan..hihi) and finally decided to call the night out around 1.45am. So I reached home only around 2.15am. Aylwin was worried. And started to tell me the story about this man got killed in block-9 of our condo. And surprisingly, this man was one of the most wanted man in Malaysia!!! Scary..!!

And this morning, I went to sundry shop downstairs to buy newspaper 'lah'..and was a bit surprised when they told me the newspaper SOLD OUT!! Haha..semua gara2 mo baca cerita gangster kena tembak mati.

Hmm..we have to be really really careful nowadays ya. Apparently, Aylwin's friend knew the gangster's friends..those days they used to lepak'ing' together-gether..but they're not so close 'lah'..yee..lucky the gangsters haven't done anything harmful to the residents yet. From what I know, this Sarawakian gangster had been robbing people, shops, and he was also 'Ketua Along'..fuh..!!

The "Template" and The "Bag"

Fuh!! I've been spending almost one and half hours to figure out how to switch my template from 'Classic' to 'Layout Form'..

Actually, I've already upgraded my template before..then I 'gatal2' went and change to classic template..so 'nah!! Kena batang hidung sendiri'..I was totally lost..becoz I didn't know how to change back to my previous template!!

And why lah I was sooo stupid..I should have just google it earlier, but instead I've wasted my time to 'pandai2' guess and try my 'kepandaian lah konon' to try to change it back. I was so fed up..and was soooo angry 'tahap gaban' ..suddenly I 'tiba2 jadi betul2 pandai'..I google 'lah'..apa lagi kan..baru lah dapat jalan penyelesaian..huh!!! Lucky I tell you..if not I don't know what will happen to my laptop...hahahah!!!

So that's the story about The "Template"..now is the story about The "Bag"..I was tagged by Kobie a few weeks back..but honestly I didn't realize that I was tagged until I read Kobie's blog the other day..hehehe..don't know why lah..I thought we supposed to receive email or something saying that we've been tag right? Hmm..mana2 lah..hehe

And I think I'm like the last one that 'kena'..coz I see almost everyone already wrote about this 'Bag Horror'..haha!! It's not horror 'lah'..pity the bag 'tau'..;)

This is my bag..I bought it from Jusco..got sale 'lah'..hehe..I was looking for shoes at that time..and I remembered that my bag too was already 'sakit'..so decided to buy new handbag. Waah..'rambang mata' ooo..even though I'm not really a 'handbag' person, but seeing all those beautiful (and also some very the expensive..ahaks) automatically made me very picky..and ended up with this Cotton Field handbag..got 70% discount, so I just paid around RM80 lah..Huh!! I think aa..this is the most expensive bag so far lah that I've ever bought..usually my handbag all under RM50..heheh..and I think I like handbags now better than before..yaaiii..all becoz of this bag 'lah'..the quality also very nice..not like my previous bags..all very easy to 'sakit'..(tali putus lah..zip rosak lah.. koyak lah..haha...etc)

And here are the contents of my bag..I like big handbags with a lot of compartment inside or outside..becoz I like to carry a lot of things..(bikin susah sendiri kan..bikin barat jak tu bag..)

1) My Sony camera --->of course it was just the casing, since I was using the camera to take the photo lah..haha! I carry my camera around, becoz I'm camera addict! Now you know..I like taking photos..later if got money want to buy the professional camera..wah!!

2) My make-up case ---> Comes together with my handbag..free lah maksudnya tu..hihi! My eyeshadows, blusher, eyeliner, etc all I dump inside this small bag..muahaha!!

3) My handphone ---> China phone only ok..but so far it's been working really well..got the TV, that's why I bought it..good for boring2 at work, can watch lah..kihkhik! And the sound also..my God..soo LOUD!!

4) My PSP (with the casing) ---> I love games..so Aylwin bought this for my Christmas gift last year!! Thank you Darling!! But now I don't play game so much. I downloaded a lot of vids from YouTube, converted it to play on my PSP. Now I can watch my favourite videos from my pink PSP..yeah!! Oh ya..just installed the software to convert DVD to PSP..so now I can watch my favourite DVD from my PSP also lah..dat's why this PSP will always come along with me..hehe..!!

5) PSP charger ---> Very important for my PSP..!!

6) My wallet ---> Also full of 'ntah apa2'..hehe!

7) Name cards ---> Most from guests who came to watch our band.

8) My hp USB cable ---> In case need to transfer files (songs or photos) where bluetooth is not available..hehe.

9) Hp earphone

10) My 2 favourite pens ---> 'Bluey' and 'Goldy'..wah!! Pen pun ada nama..dashat nih!!

11) UHU glue ---> In case need to glue something..hehe..contohnya..my shoes ke..since the incident of my 'kasut tertanggal' when I was about to sing, I have to keep this UHU for emergency..but hopefully that incident won't happen again lah!!

12) My Watershine Maybelline lipstick ---> Believe it or not, I don't really buy lipstick also..haha..so until this lipstick 'finish'..I will use it everyday..hmm..not a really good habit for a singer like me..ahaks!

13) My Silky Girl compact powder (Natural)

14) Rexona ---> Harus..hehe!!

15) My 'emergency' pad ---> I think most women will keep one in their handbag right? For emergency 'maa'..don't bluff..hehe!!

16) My Jonhson's Baby Milk Lotion ---> My skin sometimes dry..aircond 'lah'..dat's why.

17) My Channel No 5 perfume ---> Once again, I'm not really addicted to perfumes, but 'tgh berjinak2 lah'..hehe. This one was a present from my regular guests in Shook..(nice couple..they are old already but still lovey dovey ok..)

18) Notebook ---> To jot down important notes, or just for 'drawing2'..haha..!!

There you have it..my handbag and its contents..fuh!! (Panat melabel benda2 dalam bag..telampau banyak..kuang..kuang..kuang)

Hmm..of course my HP and my wallet 'lah'..and also my PSP and my 'emergency' pad..haha!!

Hmm..between my lipstick and the UHU glue I think..hehe.

The "Bob"

Last night my friend, Katherine, came to Shook with 'new hair-style'. I didn't notice her at first, but I recognized her immediately when she smiled at me. She was sitting at the bar, so from the stage I couldn't really see her face, plus with the new hair-do. But she got this beautiful smile that I haven't seen from anybody else so far..and some more she got big eyes, which is very seldom for a chinese girl..so that made me recognized her instantly..heheh!!

So on our break time, I went and saw her..and I was surprised that her hair was only a wig!! OMG!! I thought it was her real hair!! Hmm..she looks cute with a 'bob'. I wonder how I would look like if I cut my hair like that.

My mom asked me to trim my hair, becoz she said "short people shouldn't keep hair so long"..waahh...short ah..hehe..yalah..just admit it..have to face the truth..I am short!! But..just be thankful for what I have..hehe!!

Should I cut my hair? Maybe not so short..maybe just shoulder length..or should I just cut short like Katherine's wig? Hmm...what do you think?

The "6th" Gathering

Ola..

Last night, at "THE HIDEAWAY" , I did a very private and small "makan2" especially for my fellow musicians and also friends from 'AUDITION SEASON 1' who couldn't make it for our wedding dinner in Taiping & KL last month.

Actually it was Aylwin's idea to invite them for dinner, since my musicians had to work on my wedding day, and it's not nice not to give them 'makan'. And I agreed with Aylwin, so decided to have it on the 6th of October, since it was our day off. But unfortunately, Abg Mail (my bassist) couldn't make it becoz he had to go back to Ipoh to settle some things. Raof (my pianist) was the first to come..salute you lah Raof!!..hehe!! Then Abg Rahim came with his wife and kids..his youngest daughter (standard 5) is taller than me lah!! Uaarrghh!! Tak boleh jadi ni..hehe!! (Bersyukurlah apa yg kita ada..)

Of course, I also invited my AUDITION mates , but only Misz, Izaac and Amar came for the night. The rest couldn't come for certain reasons. It's ok, maybe we'll do the reunion thingy next time.

It was so nice to finally see Izaac and Amar again after sooo long!! Izaac came with Faezah and Suzanna.

Faezah looks familiar? Well, she's an actress..now she's acting in this TV drama called 'Sutra Maya'. Izaac is busy acting also..lucky he managed to come last night. Becoz he said he might not come..'ada shooting'..hehe..lucky the shooting finish early..if not tak dapat tengok muka hensem hang tau..hehe..( try to speak Utara lah konon )

But nice lah..we laughed and laughed..and don't forget..EAT..haha!! Izaac still 'buli' me lah.

Izaac: Dari dulu sampai la ni besaq hang macam tu jugak noh..tak tinggi tinggi..

Me: Kurang asam ko Izaac..tau lah hang dari dulu sampai la ni tak putih2..golap jo(tiba2 plak tekeluar slang Nogori..haha)

Around 12am, everyone left already. But my friends, May and Hanim, were the last one to come. Everyone left, diorang plak baru datang..hehe. They were supposed to come early, but they had to save a dog from dying. Huh!! They are the heroes lah..eh..heroins.

At the end of the day..or shall I say night?hehe..we had fun and enjoyed ourselves!! Hope to see the rest of my AUDITION friends next time around!!

This year I didn't have any off day for Hari Raya. So, from 1st Raya till today, I have been entertaining guests in Shook, Starhill Galery. Well, it's not as if I really need the holiday since I've already 'holidaying' for my wedding both in Taiping and in KL..hehe!!

Ning invited me and Aylwin for her Raya Open House, but unfortunately, we couldn't make it. Very sorry Ning!!

KL Wedding

Ola..

The KL wedding dinner went very well!! Same like Taiping wedding, it left us with just a good memories to keep and cherish for the rest of our lives!!

A lot of Aylwin's friends and business partners came for the wedding. My AUDITION mates (Jimmy, Misz, Chedd) also came. Of course Ning and Vernon came too. When Vernon (Ning's manager) came, he didn't see us at first. He just walked passed us very fast..hehe!! But when he saw us already, we just laughed together gether lor..haha!!

Me and Aylwin got the chance to greet everyone personally when they came. In Taiping, Aylwin's parents did all the greetings. But of course, later that night we went to each table and thanked them.

Nikki, Jaclyn Victor, Freddie Fernandez, and Audi Mok was among the guests who came and celebrate with us. Putet/Stacy sent me sms apologizing for not be able to come. It's ok Stacy..don't worry.

As I expected, they made us come on stage and perform again, just like they did in Taiping.

This time, I sang 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' and a mandarin song called 'Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin', meaning 'Moon Represents My Heart'. Ning and Jac sang for us too. Ning sang 'Thru The Fire' and Jac sang 'Fly Me To The Moon', 'When I Fall In Love' and 'I Surrender All'. Thank you Ning and Jac!! Really appreciated it!

But there was no dancing lah..hehe! In Taiping we danced, but the dance was very different from the usual 'first dance'. Ours wasn't the 'first dance'. After so many songs already, then they asked us to go and dance..becoz when the DJ started, our guests were the one who made the 'first dance'..haha! And me and Aylwin didn't do the 'romantic dance' like usual wedding couple do. They played 'Endless Love', a beautiful song by Lionell Richie and Diana Ross. We did hold each other's hand, waist and look at each other's eyes, but we dance like 'small children'..we laughed and enjoyed ourselves. Surprisingly, everybody enjoyed it too..!!

But very sorry KL guests, you didn't get the chance to see us dance..hehe!!

"Stealing Times"

Today is my wedding reception..(or should I call it 'party'?)..in KL. Now my time is 4.02pm..another 3 more hours to go before the reception start..but here I am at home surfing the internet...hehe! Dat's why 'lah' the title is "Stealing Time".. ;p

The reception is in my friend's place called 'Hideaway'. It's actually an old bungalow that my friend rented and make it into a place for any private functions such as garden wedding etc. So for those who are looking for a very private place to do any of your functions, just let me know. I'll take you to this place..hehe!!

Aylwin's parents and aunties arrived from Taiping around 2.30pm just now. We had 'makan' at Steven's Corner, when suddenly I realized that I didn't pack any towels for me and Aylwin. ( We'll be staying in the bungalow tonight..this bungalow got bridal suite you know..don't 'pray-pray' ah..)

So after 'makan', I came home straight..and on the internet, till now masih tercongok depan laptop..haha!! Hmm..can't wait to see my AUDITION friends lah. Misz, Jimmy, Chedd are coming. The rest couldn't make it. Miss them!!!

Stacy/Putet called me last night..she said she'll try to come tonight..maybe a bit late..coz she got another function with Astro..some berbuka puasa thingy..

Oklah..I think I better stop now. If not I might get late for my own wedding party..haha!!!

Taiping Wedding

Ola.

Now I'm officially Mrs. Santiago!!! Heheh..yep..my husband is Aylwin Santiago..and he is Ning Baizura's music director.

Oh..before I forget, I wanna say thank u to those who sent me smses, and msgs whether here in this blog, my phone or in facebook..thank you so much ya!!

Almost everything about the wedding went smoothly, and it was talk of the town in Taiping..hehe! Aylwin's friends helped a lot actually..from the choir to the sound system in church and in the hall. Without them I think it wouldn't be that 'grand'. Thank you!!

On 20th Sept, which was my wedding day 'lah'..I got up early around 7.30am. I was staying in Legend Inn, together with my parents, sister, brother and cousin. My sister and my cousin was my bridesmaid. My brother was the unofficial cameraman..haha!!

We went for breakfast, and around 10am, Aylwin's mother took us to the salon to do hair and make up for my mom and my bridesmaid. Dorang plak yg lebih2 ni..mcm dorang punya kawin jak..wah!! My dad and brother sambung tido di hotel. And around 12 noon, I drove to the church alone becoz Aylwin said want to practise a song. Everybody asked why I came to church? I'm not supposed to 'show' myself to everyone before the wedding mass that was going to be in another 4 hours. But I have to 'lah' since I have to practise the 'Journey' song with Aylwin. We were sooo busy that we didn't have time to practise it in KL, so we just did a very 'express' practise in the church, and after that I went back to the hotel and waited for Aylwin's mother to fetch me up to go to the bridal shop.

My friends from KL called me around 1pm. They've just arrived and need to know the room number. I was so excited and happy to see them!! After giving them the room key, Aylwin's mom came and sent me to the bridal shop. They did my make up but..oh gosh!!..it was horrible!! Sorry to say I didn't like the make up!! Urgh!! I should have shout at them but instead I didn't. I know it was my special day, and I have to tell them if anything is not right, but I didn't want to waste my time telling them what to do. Besides, the so called 'make-up artist' didn't seem like she wants me to tell her ANYTHING!! Lucky for my hair, she did ok. Hmm..still I have to alter it here and there. I should have done my make up and hair myself at the first place..haha!!

To cut the story short, I went back to the hotel, and did some 'modifying' to my make-up and hair. And of course I was already nervous at that time..dub-dab-dub-dab!! My mom came to my room, and I was very busy doing my make-up, and she just looked at me quietly. My sponsors were there with me in the room and so is my friend, Janis. They were helping me to put on my veil. I think my mom wanted to help me,you know be a part of it..but I didn't think of anything at that time. I thought I was doing her a favor for not asking her to do anything..just relax. But..now suddenly I have the feeling that my mom would've thought " why lah my daughter don't want me to help? I'm the mom, I'm the one who suppose to help my daughter.."...sorry mom..didn't mean to. :(

While waiting for the wedding car, I bumped into Owen and KB(my bestfriends from Sarawak and KL). So apalagi..posing time!!

Wedding mass started at 4pm at the Church of St. Louis, Taiping, Perak. It was an amazing feeling that I can't describe it in words. The choir was so good. The priest even made jokes, and it was really not him actually, becoz everyone in Taiping said that the priest NEVER make any jokes before!! What a breakthrough..haha!! Thank God the mass went smoothly, even though me and Aylwin was sweating like crazy!!

Hey..the church was full of people. And they said it was another 'new' thing..becoz usually it wasn't that full for a wedding mass. Hmm...I felt so blessed.

And there was the 'photo shoot' time. It was really tiring actually..haha..but I did enjoy it. Smile!!

After the wedding mass, we went back to the hotel, and rest for a while. At 7.35pm, we went down to the lobby and waited for the wedding car. When we reached the hall, they asked us not to go out yet. Becoz people still coming in, and haven't seated yet. And guess what, Aylwin asked the driver to drive us around, until they give us a call to come to the hall. I was already having headache..fuh!! And finally after almost 10mins driving around town, we got the call to come to the hall.

The best part was they played the song called 'Lion Sleeps Tonight' from the Madagascar Soundtrack when we were walking in to the hall..and everybody thought the song was soo nice!! Haha! Different lah from everybody. Usually they will play some nice love songs right? But for our wedding, they played different. I felt like dancing instead of walking..but have to behave myself lah..haha!

I sang 'The Journey' song which was sung by Lea Salonga, and Aylwin played the keyboard. My mom was so happy when I told her that there will be a performance from me and Aylwin. I hope she enjoyed the song that night. And as we expected, the crowd wanted us to play another song. So I sang 'L.O.V.E' to Aylwin and all our guests. They seemed to enjoy it..haha!! What a night!!

It was such a memorable night for everyone especially me!! If only I can rewind it back..wah!! Over!! Heheh!! Unfortunately, my aunties and uncles couldn't be there with us. Isk..isk..

Now we are back in KL, busy preparing for the dinner here. But the KL one will be just a thank you party actually, not a formal reception like in Taiping. Hi to all of you out there..

First, I want to say thank you so much to 'Tanakwagu' for your help with this blog..really really appreciate it!!

And my Thank You also goes to all my supporters who haven't give up on me yet..hehe..hopefully you will keep on supporting me thru my journey in this entertainment/music industry that I looove so much!!

And to all of you who just started to know me, thank you for your time that you spent in this blog..hopefully you too can be my loyal supporters in the future..wow!! Heheh...

For a quick update..
I'll be gone for a few days..I'm going to Taiping tonight right after I finish my performance in Shook, Starhill Galery.
Why ah? Becoz I'm getting married 'lah'..waahhh..nervous nih!
Who is my husband-to-be?? That I will tell you after I come back from Taiping..hehe. I promise I will give the full details, with lots of photos!!
For now, I will only have time to tell all of you that my wedding reception will be held in Taiping, Perak on 20th of September 2008.

Shocking? Well maybe some of you already knows about it..tapi pada mereka yg belum tahu, ini yg nak bagitau ni..hehe..but eventhough I'm getting married, it doesn't mean that I will forget about my passion in singing. And that's why your support means everything for me!!

Sorry I can't stay too long at the moment.
Ini pun 'curi' masa sekejap to say my thanks, and also to announce about my wedding. As I told you earlier, I will surely keep you updated after the ceremony. Pray for me yah..;)
